At The Stables at Wulf Crest Farm, we combine a love for classical equitation with a hands-on approach to horsemanship, creating a full-service equestrian experience in the heart of Northern Virginia. Founded in 2021, our mission is to build confident, competitive, and well-rounded riders, while making the journey both fun and rewarding.
Our team is dedicated to developing riders of all levels—from beginners learning the fundamentals to seasoned competitors striving for success in the show ring. We offer personalized training programs designed to help you and your horse flourish.

Leadership
Luis and Emma bring passion, expertise, and dedication to the Stables at Wulf Crest.
With over two decades of experience, Luis began his equine career as a farm worker, learning best practices in horse care alongside veterinarians and specialists. His hard work and love for the community led him to become a facility manager, and in 2021, he achieved his dream of owning the Stables at Wulf Crest, where he now serves as the facility manager.
Emma has been riding since her teenage years, competing in local and collegiate equestrian leagues and showing hunters and jumpers on both the local and rated show circuits. With a Bachelor’s and Master’s in accounting from GMU, she oversees office management at Wulf Crest, combining her business expertise with her passion for horses and teaching.
Together, Luis and Emma are committed to creating a welcoming environment where horses and riders thrive.
Our Team
Program Director
Bruce Leland
With over 35 years of experience, Bruce is a renowned trainer, rider, and coach in the Hunter and Jumper disciplines. He has produced champions across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, from ponies to the Grand Prix ring, and has coached National Champions and USEF zone winners in nearly every division.
Bruce has also served as coach of the United States Military Equestrian Team and taught clinics both nationally and internationally, solidifying his reputation as a leader in the equestrian world.

Emily Sanders
A lifelong horse enthusiast, Emily grew up riding on the SWVHJA circuit with Hunter and Anneliesa King. At Virginia Tech, she served as president of the Equestrian Club and competed with the IHSA and ANRC teams. She holds a Master’s in Applied Animal Behavior and Welfare, with research focused on positive reinforcement training in school horses. Emily is passionate about educating future horsepeople with a science-based approach to training and management. She is a USHJA Credentialed Instructor, coaches the Wulf Crest IEA team, teaches riding lessons, and ensures every horse gets their daily cookies.

Victoria Pellegrini
Vicki grew up riding at Wulf Crest!
Vicki recently rode on a scholarship for the Emory & Henry College IHSA team, gaining experience in the collegiate show world and continuing to develop her skills both in and out of the ring. While she primarily loves the jumper ring, she’s just as comfortable in the hunters and brings a really thoughtful, well-rounded approach to her teaching.
She has a great feel for working with young horses and riders, helping them build confidence, trust, and a strong foundation. Whether she’s guiding a student through their early lessons or helping a green horse figure out their job, Vicki’s patience and natural feel really shine through.

Sophie Regester
A passionate horse lover with years of hands-on experience, Sophie began her riding journey at Wulf Crest and later rekindled her love of riding after graduating from JMU with a degree in Biology with Pre-Veterinary studies. She is continuing her riding education here at Wulf Crest and is looking forward to helping students of all ages build confidence in the saddle and develop solid horsemanship skills. Sophie is one of our part-time instructors.
